Each grade of membership has its own criteria, which must be met in order for he grade to be awarded any of the undermentioned grades.
Affiliate Member
Affiliate can be a student member taking the International Certificate, Diploma or Advanced Diploma, and does not yet qualify for any of the higher grades of membership.
This grade is also open to those who have an interest in logistics and/or transport and to participate in the literary activities of the Association
Member (MILT)
The applicant must have completed the Professional Diploma, or exempting qualification, and have at least 3 year's junior management experience in the logistics and transport sector. Members are entitled to use to post-nominal MILT.
Chartered Member (CMILT)
The applicant must have completed the Professional Advanced Diploma, exempting qualification, and have at least 5 year's experience in the logistics and transport sector, of which at least 2 must be at a senior management level. Chartered Members are entitled to use the post-nominal CMILT.
Chartered Fellow (FCILT)
The applicant must already be a Chartered Member, and must have at least 7 year's high-level management experience in the logistics and transport sector. Chartered Fellowship may also be awarded, in exceptional circumstances, to individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the logistics and transport sector, or those who have attained a position of eminence in their field. Chartered Fellows are entitled to use the post-nominal FCILT.
