The CILT Mauritius Section was established and officially registered on 25 March 1983. Since then, the Mauritius Section has arrived to position itself as a highly professional body recognized by Government and the private sector. CITLM has a membership roll of nearly 250 active professional members who are classified into Affiliate, Member (MILT), Chartered Member (CMILT) and Chartered Fellow (FCILT), depending upon the level of examination they have completed and experience achieved.
Since its establishment, CILTM has been actively engaged in interacting with various government departments and private organisations to develop a harmonised transportation and logistics system. In this context, CILT plays a pivotal role as a nodal body in the transport supply chain in Mauritius. CILTM is called upon to form part of a national 'think tank' with a view to formulating national transportation policies and preparing/reviewing legislations for the different modes of transport in line with the socio-economic development of Mauritius. CILT qualifications are being increasingly recognised by the private sector and governmental bodies and agencies.
The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport is an organisation that you can join as an individual. The CILT has a Chartered Status conferred in the UK by Royal Charter, which gives an added prestige and guarantee of professional standards.
CILT qualifications are recognized worldwide across all our CILT partner countries. The CILT qualifications are developed to the highest standards, offering valuable professional recognition wherever you wish to be in the world. The flexibility of our qualification structure means you can study in one country, and then move on to develop your career in a different location, building on what you have learnt and moving up the qualification ladder.
